Q

What is a head, neck and face massage?

A

This is a combined, holistic massage technique that brings together three closely related areas of the body — the scalp, the neck and shoulder girdle, and the facial muscles. The approach works synergistically: relaxing the scalp relieves tension headaches, the neck and shoulder massage eases the strains of sedentary work and stress, while the facial massage balances expression and jaw tension, stimulating circulation in the face. The result is deep relaxation and a restored sense of ease throughout your entire upper body.

Why these three areas belong together

Your head, neck and face are functionally a single whole. Tension in your neck and shoulder girdle travels directly to the scalp muscles, causing tension headaches. Similarly, jaw tension (bruxism, teeth grinding) manifests as stiffness in your facial muscles and radiates down into the neck.

If a massage only focuses on one area, the tension in the other remains and the problem quickly returns. With this combined approach, we release all three areas together — leading to a more stable, longer-lasting result.

What to expect from your session

The 60-minute session begins with an in-depth neck and shoulder massage to release accumulated tension and improve blood circulation in your upper body. We then move to the scalp, where rhythmic movements relax tight areas and help soothe headaches.

Finally, the facial massage: we smooth out facial expression muscles, massage the jaw area (TMJ tension), and stimulate blood circulation and lymphatic flow. We finish with a calming touch to your forehead and temples.

The treatment takes place at Tina 5/1, in the centre of Tallinn. Upon arrival, please call 5358 1640.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How long does the massage last?

The full combined massage lasts 60 minutes. Depending on your needs, we can focus more on a specific area (for example, spending more time on the neck and shoulders if they are holding the most tension).

Who is this massage best suited for?

It is ideal for anyone with a sedentary job who experiences chronic neck and shoulder tension, those suffering from tension headaches, people dealing with jaw tension (bruxism) and tight facial muscles, and anyone looking for deep relaxation alongside a refreshing, revitalising effect for the face.

Can I pay using Stebby?

Yes, payment via Stebby is available.

Is it normal to feel a headache or tired after the massage?

In some cases, you may experience mild drowsiness or a feeling of your muscles completely winding down after deep relaxation — this is a normal response to releasing accumulated tension. Be sure to drink plenty of water and allow your body to relax.
